Non-Approved Bats

Non-Approved Bats for 2010 Season
The BSF Executive met in London on Saturday, October 10, and issued its policy for approved and non-approved bats for the 2010 season.
This policy will not be changed during next season, so bats can safely be purchased or acquired on the basis of the statement below.
To be approved for play in BSF or BSF-sanctioned tournaments, a bat must:
1) Have an ASA 2000 or ASA 2004 certification mark.
2) NOT appear on the ASA non-approved bat list (even though it might have a certification mark).
Players should note that further bats might be added to the ASA non-approved list (which currently consists of only 24 bats) over time. This is out of the BSF's control, and can be checked on the ASA website.
Not appear on the ASA non-approved bat list.
ASA Non-Approved List
It was further agreed by the BSF that bats that have the new ISF certification mark and do not appear on the ASA non-approved list can be approved for play. Judgments on such bats will be made by BASU if and when they turn up; but for all practical purposes, players should stick to the two numbered rules set out above.
